An amazing book store in the beautiful historical village of Cromford, just a 5 minute drive from Bonsall. The shop boasts a huge range and variety of new and second hand books available for you to purchase, it also has a lovely children's area and cafe located upstairs.
Matlock Bath is a short drive away and is known locally as the seaside without a beach! It boasts the famous illuminations annually, (please check online for dates). Gulliver's Kingdom & the Heights of Abraham make a lovely day out. Be sure to visit the arcades and stop for lunch in one of the fish & chip shops!
Around a 30 minute drive from Bonsall, Chatsworth House is a fantastic estate to walk around and explore. Carsington Water is around a 15 minute drive from Bonsall and has everything you need for a lovely day out. There are plenty of activities, walks and water sports for you and your family to enjoy together. It also hosts a newly build play area with a picnic area adjacent.
The National Tramway Museum is located in Crich. It contains over 80 trams build between 1873 and 1982 and is set within a recreated period village containing a working pub, cafe, old style sweetshop and tram depots. The trams run regularly throughout the village and are a must-see.
Branded the UK's biggest theme park featuring huge rides for the thrill seekers, a water park, CBeebies Land and mini golf.
